CREATIVE SCHOOLS AWARDS

What is the Creative Schools Award?

This award is presented to schools that demonstrate a commitment to creativity and the imagination by engaging in projects that children and teachers work through during the school year.  Projects may be:

  • Art based

  • Integrated across the curriculum

  • Centered on a theme, developed around a methodology, focus on an aspect of learning

  • From any curriculum area

They are process-centred.  The voice of the child is central.

St Brigid's has participated in the Creative Schools Award for a number of years.

On Tuesday, 24th April Ms Reilly, Ms Stephens and 6 Junior Infants went to The Ark to collect the Creative Schools Award 2018. The children had a great day singing and presenting their project to the judges and other schools involved. Our project was based on our Aistear theme - The Vet’s Surgery. Well done to all the Junior Infant classes for helping us to achieve this award!
